Urogynecology

Our hybrid pharmacist led urogynaecology clinic support your diagnoses from a Urogynaecologist.  We do not provide diagnosis for your condition, but we assist you by providing the products or medications that can treat the condition. Urogynaecology is a subspecialty of Gynaecology. It covers services that provide assessment, investigations, and treatment for women with urinary incontinence, vaginal prolapse, recurrent urinary tract infections, bladder pain and pelvic floor injury after childbirth including faecal incontinence. Urogynaecologists handle issues related to the pelvic floor and bladder. This includes overactive bladders, weak pelvic muscles, reproductive issues, and bladder or rectal incontinence (the loss of control when going to the bathroom). We supply urinary incontinence products and pelvic floor exercising devises.

We provide pharmaceutical and non-pharmaceutical products to treat your diagnosis. We can also provide a few of the investigative tests needed for your diagnosis. Urine tests are commonly required during a visit to the urologist, however, there are different types, and each gives the urologist a different insight into your condition. A urinalysis can be performed at our partner pharmacy, and tests for bacteria and white blood cells that may be lingering in the urinary tract. We also do a medication review and medicine optimisation of any prescribed medication.
